Where in the World?

Kos. Second largest island in the Dodecanese – 43km long and 8km wide. Nearer to Turkey than mainland Greece thus the large number of scary military compounds lurking round bends in the road.

A very pleasant place to spend two weeks – provided you get out of Kardamena. Sleepy fishing village by winter; drunken English resort by summer.
