A closer look at the statue on top of St Edmund's RC Church in Limehouse. I've no idea who it is supposed to be. Jesus? God?
The blue railings belong to the DLR from where I first spotted this. It's very strange and a little freaky.

Thanks Ems. That is the freakiest looking holy statue I have ever seen. Red's definitely not His colour.

Surely it's Jesus? Or St Edmund? I quite like it.
it's not me - i am scared of heights.
The Christian god is always represented as a white haired man (i.e. Zeus). So it is not him. You could of always goto the church and ask !
