I knew it was going to be one of those days when I nearly threw the teaspoon in the bin making my first cup of coffee and then got in the bath still wearing my vest top. I was at a conference today which started far later than school and at a venue closer to home so I hoped to have a lie-in until 7.30am. True to form I was wide awake at 6.15am and ended up much earlier.

The conference lacked oomph and the building, Victorian, lacked air. In this afternoon's session I was sat opposite a man with the most pallid, grey, clammy skin I have ever seen. I am convinced he was the walking dead. I couldn't help but keep looking at him which gave him entirely the wrong impression. The thought of fancying him was horrific and somehow, counter productively, made me stare at him even more. I did try to make a quick escape at the end but he caught me and tried to engage me in conversation. I was rudely monosyllabic and he soon gave up. I hope he wasn't anyone important.

hilarious!! I hate it when I do that! I usually wear contact lenses, but sometimes I wear glasses and my subconscious tricks me into thinking I am wearing sunglasses. Believing my eyes are hidden, I tend to stare more, gaining unwanted attention. I can be an idiot sometimes...
